Celebrate Canada's 150 with Globalfest!

The sun is shining in Calgary Stampede is now over and now we can all get geared up for the next giant festival Globalfest!!! This year Alberta’s Most Explosive festival takes place from August 15-26 at Elliston Park in Calgary. There is also a great Canadian spin on Globalfest this year to celebrate Canada's 150 birthday!

Cultural pavilions are set to take over the city and of course the wonderful spectacle of the fireworks festival over Elliston Lake is getting set to light up the sky.

 

There will be many wonderful events staring with Stampede , The OneWorld Festival which includes numerous cultural pavilions, the night market, food booths and performances And of course the fantastic Fireworks festival!

This year of the fireworks are focusing on the Celebration of Canada's 150 birthday by being broght to us by Canada's provinces!
They start on Tuesday August 15 with The West putting their best pyrotechnic on display,
Thursday Aug 17 - The Praries
Saturday Aug 19 - Ontario
Tuesday Aug 22 - Quebec
Thursday Aug 24 - Atlantic
Saturday Aug 26 - Finale

$15 if you buy your tickets before July 29

$20 July 31- event

You can also purchase a Globalpass for $90 ($78 on or before July 30) This pass will get one person admission to all five nights of the events!

Elliston Park opens nightly at 6pm and the fireworks usually start around 9-9:30 Come early to enjoy all the sights sounds and fun.  Lots of things to enjoy and fun for the kids!

*OneWorld Festival on-site activities are from 6:00 – 9:30 pm. Activities include:

• Cultural Pavilions
• Ethnic Food Booths
• TD Main Stage, Boardwalk Stage, & OneWorld Stage
• Children’s Village presented by Shakers Fun Centre
• OneWorld Bar
• Beer Garden
• Night Market

Tickets can be purchased at Calgary Co Op's, Marlborough Mall, and London Drugs locations throughout central and southern Alberta!
