Mother's Day is just a few days away and I am so happy to spend it with the ones I love most, my sweet children and we will be making a special phone call to my mom of course as she lives in another province from me.
But something special happened for me already this year for Mother's Day and I got to share it with another amazing woman who has become my "Mom away from Mom" as I like to call her. My wonderful Auntie!
She has been here for me in Calgary more times then I can count, she is the person who brought me here right after high school graduation with the open ended stay as long as you need, and I did for a year! She is also the one we trust to come take care of our big brood of children mostly when another is coming along. She is the best auntie I could ever have asked for and I was so lucky to have been welcomed into her family with open arms and love.
My Aunt and I got to spend a wonderful evening out together celebrating Mother's Day at The Keg Steakhouse + Bar and it was a perfect way to tell her how much she means to me and how thankful I am to have her.
