Every year we give our kids an ornament for the Christmas tree. We usually try to find something they like that year such as a super hero or Pooh bear, or...but last year I wanted to do something different for them and also to find a great gift idea for the grandparents. I also love handprint crafts and though hey why not do a handprint craft on a Christmas ball!
So away I went to the local dollar store to see what I could find. I picked out some nice looking but plastic ornaments(everything on our tree MUST be plastic at this point lol) and some crafting paint and home to get the kids prepped.
A quick painting of their hand and printing them on the balls and always they went (note: the craft paint washes off hands easily if done right away, however it does not come off of clothing as easily so make sure you are in paint smacks as well as the kids). Then mommy did a little extra adding hats and faces for the snowmen and done! The perfect keepsake Handprint Ornament! Makes a perfect gift and are now my very favourite ornaments on our tree! Look at that little baby hand! Makes me smile every time!
What you need:
Christamas balls ornaments (we used plastic but glass would be nicer if you are able)
Good paint
Paintbrush
Toothpick (for eyes, nose)
Kids hands ;)
