I love to watch cooking shows! I love to see the new to me techniques and learn about flavour combinations that I would not have thought of and I like every to see that finished product and wish I could taste it!!! I also love the challenge shows as they really push chefs out of their box and test the limits of their imaginations to see who is the best chef, and nothing is more fun then watching the children's versions of these shows! They always add their cute charges tics and take on the challenges with such determination, and I am always amazed at how well they do and the very yummy creations they can co e up with. I have to admit those little kids put my kitchen skills to shame!
On that note I want to let you know that it is that time of year again where one of my favourite talk shows is hosting a children's cook off.
The Rachael Ray show is gearing up for the Rachael Ray’s Kid Cook Off! This year Rachael will be mentoring 8 children
There will be Special Guest Judges who will join Rachael Ray Each week as the Kidtestants compete for a $20,000 Culinary Scholarship and a Web Series on FoodNetwork.com!!
Some of the guest judges include Sunny Anderson, Scott Conant, Amanda Freitag, Alex Guarnaschelli, Robert Irvine, Jeff Mauro, Daymon Patterson, Marcus Samuelsson and Fabio Viviani. They will mentor the kidtestants through culinary challenges, from preparing the perfect well-balanced bite, to creating “desserts in disguise” inspired by the new movie Hotel Transylvania. I can't wait to see what the kids come up with!
The Series Premieres on Monday, August 24th at 8pm ET/PT on Food Network and there will be six fun filled episodes. I'll be watching!
