I have been wanting to get DS1 a Nintendo 3DS for awhile now but have been warned that the 3D feature is not great for young children's eyes and with him being only 6 and the younger boys being well younger and going to use the device even if it is not theirs I was hesitant and looking for safer options. This is why I was SUPER excited to find out that Nintendo has a 2DS which is a gaming system that is perfect for my boys. It does not have the 3D feature but plays and uses all the same games as the 3DS!
Perfect my Mom brain is put at ease and now my boys get to play with a super exciting game system that offers all the choices of the 3DS!
The 2DS is a bit different then the 3DS as it is one flat unit not a flip up screen. It has the screen as well as a finger pad and controls all on a rectangle unit. My boys really like that t is all there together and I don't have to worry about the screen getting broken off the hinges. i know it probably doesn't happen but...i have four boys..so ya I worry lol
I also got to try out the new game Kirby Triple Deluxe. I loved that the game was good at catching my sons attention. My boys are all about super hero's right now but I prefer them to be more engaged with the non violent games so this game was perfect. There is still action and adventure but in engaging colours and with the character of Kirby not the human like characters of Superheros (my boys like to play out all super hero they see so we have a LOT of spider man and Batman going on around here!) I think of it as a more old school Mario type game that everyone can enjoy and is great for both boys and girls!
And for my Canadian readers Nintendo has offered a giveaway of a Red Nintendo 2DS and a copy of the Kirby Triple Deluxe game!!
