Globalfest Calgary Ticket Giveaway

If you live in Calgary I am sure you have heard of the Globalfest International Fireworks Festival sponsored by Trico Homes but if you have never been you Need to!

  I have always loved fireworks even as a little girl, I loved to sit and watch the sky light up with all the beautiful colors but nothing prepared me for my first trip to Globalfest!  Not only did I see fireworks like I'd never seen before I saw shapes inside fireworks and all set to beautiful music.  The fireworks dance in the nights sky reflecting off the beautiful lake water of Elliston Park. 

The sounds and sights leave you amazed!  

Each country in the contest has their own night to put on the best light display they can and the last day is a grande finale with the winner declared!  This years competition Starts with

 Japan on Thursday August 14

 Thailand on Saturday August 16

 Vietnam on Tuesday Aug 19

 France on Thursday August 21 (France was last years winner!)

and the Grande finale on Saturday August 23

The fireworks competition also coincide with the OneWorld celebration which showcases different cultures heritage with different pavilions set up through out the city with special events and foods and cultural experiences!

Get your tickets now at all Calgary Co-op Customer Service Offices, Marlborough Mall, all Alberta London Drugs locations, or online at www.globalfest.ca.  Advance pricing is on NOW until Aug 2!! So now is a great time to get a deal!!  General Admission tickets are $15 and Finale Tickets are $20 (prices do not include GST)
