Winter Driving tips!

I don't know about everyone else but here in Calgary Winter driving is upon us and in cold full swing!  The roads are icy and covered in snow and we have even had white out conditions twice this week!

So this is a great time for remembering all the tips and tricks for winter driving and a great resource is The Insurance Hunter website!  Right now you can find a great article on getting your vehicle ready for Winter (which we still need to do by the way :() Well we do have our winter tires on which is the first tip so at least we have one!!  I do still need to check on our survival kit and get the van in for an inspection and oil change while I'm at it.

Another great article and a HUGE reminder coming from me to my readers is to keep your eyes on the road and not on your phone!!!  To many accidents are happening lately because of this and here in Calgary there is a huge crack down on it right now.  Stay safe and watch the road!!  Halloween is now over but we always need to watch out for the little ones during the day and at night especially with the slippery streets!!

At this time of year we really have to be extra careful of ourselves and others as we all get used to driving on slippery wet streets again, so make sure to take it slow stay safe and MERGE properly!!!  (Just a little tip from a fellow Calgary driver ;))
