As I sat here on Friday morning watching my city being devastated by flood waters not seen in hundreds of years, worrying and wondering if my family was safe if we should stay and be safe or run from the raising waters.... glued to social media fro the latest updates on weather to stay or go waiting for that dreaded knock on the door...I heard a text message come through on my cell phone. Was it family checking in on me No, but it was a good friend, a good friend named Telus sending out a message to all local costumer to tell us that all local and long distance calls where now covered for us regardless of plan until further notice... A friend that knew in a time of total destruction for some families being able to reach out to friends and family worry free might have been just what we needed!
I was going to write about all the great features of the phone which I love..Did I mention I LOVE it!!!! but as I became more aware of the efforts Telus puts forth for its customers I really wanted to let my readers know what a great company this is!! My Telus Rep started off our relationship by sending out stuffed animals for my boys at Christmas and not just three but even included our then unborn baby!! it actually brought tears to my eyes that she was so thoughtful!! and not just because I was an emotional pregnant lady ;)
Then I continues to keep an eye and was surprised how often I heard Telus being brought up in regards to supporting people and providing help and service in the community! I saw the support they provide communities through reading the write ups on their calenders. They provide call centers to help people that need someone to talk to, developed Apps to help manage diabetes and provide opportunities for children to learn and better themselves through summer camp programs of all kinds. They have a program called Keyboards for kids that provides special needs children with computers to help them with their education, And have a motto of "Helping our youth reach new Heights".
I was becoming more and more impressed with Telus and it's team members everyday and then I heard they had found out about a friends daughter being sick in the hospital and sent her a gift!! and now to reach out with a small gesture of caring for their customers that made me stop and again think Wow what a great company!! I just had to write this post to let my readers know that a Big company like Telus really does care about it's customers and more then that cares about you on an individual level! When I needed a hug they were there! I am so impressed and will continue to be a Loyal Telus customer.
