Coming from a background in teaching I know what children need to know before starting school but now with raising my own children I am realizing that it is sometimes hard to find the materials to teach them. or more importantly to find the simple easy to use materials without all the frills that sometimes just make it harder for them. And to find it all in one easy to use and find place.... Hahaha
Well that is until I opened up the Toddler Teach My Kit!! I LOVE it!! There are puzzles, posters, flash cards and board books for each of the different learning areas (Shapes, Letters- upper and lower case, Colors and Numbers) all right there perfectly organized and at your finger tips!! I LOVE that they all correspond with each other and are simple (no multicolored shape puzzle- we are working on shapes not colors!) Everything is simple, basic and best of all ...all together in a nice little folder case!
As someone who worked with Special needs children I learned very fast that all the extras (colors, pictures, characters) just got in the way and the simple learning tools were the ones that where used the most and were the easiest and made the most impact!
Now are you wondering if my boys like it...welll I had to put them at separate ends of the room with different puzzles to get them to stop fighting over it and right away the learning started with questions about what this shapes name was and what color is this one mom... Come here and do this with me mom!!
