Libre Tea Glass Review

On a cold rainy day, when I'm feeling sad or just because I LOVE a good cup of Tea!!  I recently broke my teapot however and have been searching for a good way to make my favorite loose leaf tea without getting bits in my mouth, I've also always wanted a way to take a nice cup of tea with me when I go out without using my coffee travel mug.  I don't like using it because no matter how good you wash it it always smells like coffee and I don't want my tea to taste like coffee!!

I was thrilled when I got the chance to review the Libre Tea Glass. Perfect timing both because of the broken tea pot and also because of the rainy weather we have been having here in Alberta...Yes it does rain here :)
I must admit I was a bit confused when I first opened the box, but after watching the How to use your Libre Tea Glass video HERE I tried it out and LOVE my Libre Tea Glass!  How do you use it?  Well there are two different ways.
1. You put your Loose leaf tea directly into the glass, add your water and both parts of the lid, wait to brew and drink your tea.
2. You fill the glass with your hot water, screw on the basket portion of lib add your tea and the top lid and invert to steep.  When steeped remove the basket portion to dump tea leaves and enjoy your cup of tea!
And the best thing is that this is glass on the inside so as to keep your tea tasting the best it can, and Poly on the outside to prevent breakage.  It also keeps your tea piping hot while still allowing you to pick up and drink the Tea!  I was a bit skeptical of this fact when I picked up the barely warm glass ....until I burnt my tongue on the nice HOT Tea!!  It really does a good job of keeping the Tea Hot for a long time!!

One warning is to be careful when unscrewing the freshly made Tea as the steam does create pressure and can spurt out at you a bit, although they do warn you.  Also I was a bit leery drinking out of the wide opening in the beginning as I was expecting a spout, but do actually enjoy not having the spout or drink opening the more I use it.

Overall I LOVE the Libre Tea Glass and will be getting one for all my Tea Drinking Friends and Family!!
