Turtles in Bloom Review and Giveaway

Turtles In Bloom

I am very excited to have come across a cloth diaper retailer from right here in Calgary called Turtles in Bloom!!  What a cute name hey!! Love it! :)  Turtles in Bloom offers many products including cloth diapering products as well as products for mommy, bathing, toys and even some products for Daddy!!  I really like the toy section because I was able to find some great toys I hadn't seen before!

Turtles in Bloom sent me a newborn Sweetpea cover as well as a one size sweet pea cover and inserts to try with them.  I have to say right away that the prints of the covers are sooo super sweet and are some of the cutest I've seen!!

Of course I haven't been able to try out the newborn cover yet...any day now!!!:) but was able to try out the one size cover on bot of the two bigger diaper boys and am very happy to say it worked very well on each of them!  I really LOVE the trim fit with these covers and inserts!! One of the things I ave come across since my switch has been that with some of the cloth diapers the boys pants no longer fit but with theses covers and inserts it is very trim and I did not have any issues fitting under any of their pants!

I also love that these covers are double gusseted! What does that mean? well it means there are two sets of  seams and that means two sets of poop protection! The poop stays in the diaper where it is supposed to and not all over their clothes! I also really love tat the insides of theses covers are just the PUL layer so that you are able to just give them a quick wipe in between pee changes if needed and a new insert can be added.  This really cuts back on laundry and is especially nice if your out and about!  I am still working on getting the poop to stay on the insert and not on the cover though so have had to change the cover as well when a poop happens, but then again i'd probably want to on those occasions anyway :).

The newborn cover says it fits from 6-12 pounds and offer a snap down rise and hook and loop closure for the best fit on your little bundle. The one size cover fits from 10-38 pounds and offers snap down rise and snap closure.  I have tried this on my older diaper boy who is at the top of the weight range and had no issues fitting it on him!!
I was also sent a Sweetpea perfold and an amp prefold to try with these covers and love both. They absorb great! I love how soft the AMP one is, will be great next to newborn skin :)

Be sure to check out Turtles in bloom on their website, Facebook, Twitter!!
